Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, situated 110 kms west of Bangkok, is a very attractive place for tourists to see the old style and traditional way of selling and buying fruits, vegetables, etc., from small boats. You will also see traditional Thai houses, the way they live and travel by boats.
The Bridge of the River Kwai
This tour take you to the world’s renowned Bridge on the River Kwai, Build during World War II by Prisoners of war. The bridge is located near the town of Kanchanaburi 130 kms.west of Bangkok. About 9000 allied soldiers lost their lives in the very harsh conditions they were subjected to while building the bridge and the infamous” Death Railway” You will visit the well kept war cemetery where they rest in peace. Also include a visit to the JEATH War Museum where you can view the many historic exhibits.
Your Itinerary
06.30 a.m.
Pick up from hotel in Bangkok and drive to Samut songkram Province
08.20 a.m.
Stop at “Tao Tan” a place where palm sugar is made is called “Tao Tan”. Sugar palm is a famous quality product of Samut Songkhram. When a coconut tree is about 3-4 years old, its spadice are cut so that farmers can collect its sweet sap then they simmers it over a fire until it becomes brown and dry.
09.30 a.m.
Take a long tail speedboat along the canal to the floating market,Passing through Thai houses and their vegetable farm, flowers farm and fruit farm.
11.00 a.m.
Visit the wood carving factory and drive to Kanchanaburi
12.30 p.m.
Buffet Lunch is served at the local restaurant.
13.40 p.m.
Visit the JEATH War Museum, War cemetery and the Bridge on the River Kwai.
16.30 p.m. Depart Kanchanaburi for Bangkok and Transfer back to your hotel
